TDS GTNXi and MPS50 GTN750 GPS decision for MSFS 2024

MSFS 2024 MOD / ADDON

I am deciding between both 3rd party GPSs for 3rd party planes without one, I was reading a lot of info in internet and reddit and I got the following conclusions.

TDS is a better reproduction on the real Garmin unit, as it is based in the real trainer from Garmin, apparently the MPS50 is less close to real unit (also based in an older one), but according a lot of old info apparently the TDS has some critical problems:

  1. Because it is not developed with the MSFS "framework", unlike the MPS50, it cannot communicate with the sim, is a close system, so for example if you make a flight plan with the MSFS flight planner (the EFB or the web planner) you cannot send it to the TDS unit, you need to do everything inside the unit itself. On the contrary as the MS50 is developed using MSFS "framework" it talks with the sim and you would be able to send a flight planning from MS planner like an in-game GPS.

  2. TDS uses an old AIRAC info coming from the Garmin trainer, it does not get the same info as the sim, so you can find discrepancies between the TDS and for example MSFS2024 charts.

  3. The TDS cannot communicate with other units in the plane, for example other GPS, as said is a close unit.

All this info I took from old posts, but I am not sure if this is nowadays correct, maybe these problems are corrected now, I checked the web from TDS but I did not get a clear answer from it.

  1. According a lot of old posts seems MPS50 has frequent updates and TDS don’t.

I did see now TDS can incorporate Navigraph, so I assume:

  1. If you have the Navigraph subscription then you can use Navigraph updated AIRAC and charts in both the TDS unit and MSFS2024, then everything will run the same info, but of course this would require I pay for Navigraph subscription.

Please, can somebody with experience with it advise me if this info is accurate nowadays?

Thanks
