Anyone else find invoicing weirdly painful for something so basic?
I'm a software developer and for years I took on direct clients on the side. The actual work was fine. Invoicing was somehow the part I dreaded most.
Creating each one manually, tracking who paid and who didn't, then awkwardly chasing clients who went quiet after delivery β it felt like a second unpaid job. Ironic for someone who builds software for a living.
Curious if this is just a me problem or if anyone else finds the whole invoicing + getting paid side of freelancing surprisingly painful.
How do you handle it?
