What do you think about men being incompetent when it comes to household chores?

I've been going through some women's subs and I've noticed there's a lot of "men don't do chores" topics. For eg, my boyfriend doesn't wash the dishes, he doesn't load/unload the dishwasher, he doesn't do the laundry, he doesn't clean up after himself, socks on the floor". It seems that there is a bunch of women out there dealing with what appears to be, toddlers in the shape of grown men.

My mum would've kicked my ass if I couldn't do/help with any of this since high school. How widespread do you think this level of incompetence is?
