Should i apply to ivy schools mid 12th or after 12th?

The regular decisions application ends by Jan, and i won't finish all the activities (JEE, IPhO if selected, research paper) I'd like to give in my common app by then. I won't be able to submit the 12th final marksheet as well which honestly sucks.

But i heard that taking a gap year makes ivy lose their interest, which would bad.
