How to build and use command units (and tech priests) in a mechanicum army?

Trying to build a mechanicum force is actually very different from building a legion force, mainly in that your command units are more customisable and aren’t as tanky as astartes command units, how should I be equipping my magos and tech priests and how should I use them in game?
