Mitsutake Oubayashi: the glass cannon of the modern era

OC Character

Heavenly Restriction: Mitsutake suffers from severe muscle atrophy and osteoporosis, making his body weak and frail. In exchange, his CE reserves and output are immensely increased. Due to his heritage, which can be traced back to several notable sorcerers from the Heian era, he was already primed to have high amounts of CE, and with his heavenly restriction his reserves are much greater than most sorcerers even among the major clans. His output is even greater, nearing the level of Ryu Ishigori, making Mitsutake the current second greatest output recorded.

Mitsutake uses near constant CE reinforcement to support his body, however even with his level of output his body is still frail. he can walk, but his muscles lack the strength to run, and even with his high output reinforcing his body most grade one sorcerers could cripple him in a single solid blow.

Cursed Technique: Dispersal

Dispersal is a passive technique which alters the behavior of Mitsutake's output CE. When his CE impacts an object or other CE, it pushes outwards in all directions perpendicular to the impact, scattering the CE and whatever it impacted. This makes his CE output exceptionally efficient at deflecting attacks, since it only has to deflect the attack rather than negate it.

This technique shines the most in close quarters, however. Because of the radial push of his output, his strikes are able to blow apart the guards of his opponents, and enables him to chain together several high-output attacks without launching his opponent away.

Extension technique: Collision

By intentionally outputting CE at alternating low and high velocities, Mitsutake can collide his CE against itself and create a spherical shockwave rather than a circular one. This allows him to move at high speeds despite his frail musculature, benefiting both from the recoil of his CE output and the shockwaves to push him. This technique can also be used for offense and defense, although its efficiency is significantly worse than an ordinary CE blast.

Falling Blossom Emotion

Mitsutake belongs to a minor clan of the Gojo family, who elected to teach him FBE upon his reaching of Semi-Grade 1 sorcerer. Due to his technique, it is highly effective at defense even against non-domain attacks, however the constant output is extremely draining.

Maximum Technique: Quartering

Mitsutake performs this technique by grabbing onto his target's torso in order to directly channel his full output into them. Once this technique is started, the constant force radiating from their torso forces their limbs outwards, preventing counter attacks, and eventually ripping them to pieces. very few sorcerers and curses are able to resist this technique without making a sacrificial binding vow. Mitsutake primarily uses this to finish off enemies who are weakened to the point they cant resist or counterattack once the technique is started.

Domain Expansion: Fractal Dreams

An incomplete domain with no effects aside from the stat boost. Mitsutake made a binding in which his incomplete domain only lasts 5 seconds in order to improve the CE cost of expanding it. During these 5 seconds, Mitsutake charges up a CE blast at 120% of his usual maximum output. When the domain closes, Mitsutake launches a barrage of CE blasts, starting with the 120% blast. Due to his technique burnout, these blasts now directly impart their force into the target rather than scattering,

The wording of his binding vow allows him to maintain his domain longer when clashing against another domain, due to it being contained inside of his opponent's barrier.

Fighting style

Mitsutake moves in an almost floaty way, utilizing collision to move in unusual patterns which are difficult to predict even by reading his CE. He primarily moves around his opponents in medium-close range, using his CE blasts to try and create an opening to attack in melee safely. He is very careful due to his fragile body and lack of RCT, preferring safe attacks and only going for high-risk high-reward moves during moments of desperation. His domain expansion is primarily used in preparation to finish off an opponent at long range, as his technique burnout leaves him less mobile.
