I was wrongfully classified while working full-time. Krankenkasse is now demanding thousands of €.
Hi.
Last year I was in Düsseldorf working full-time as a barista for 6 months. After I left this job I started receiving letter from Barmer because I was covered but they didn't receive any payments from me in all those months (now I owe them around 2400 euros). They told me I was classified as a minijobber so it was my duty to pay for my insurance (although the wording confuse me, and maybe I was classified as a freelance).
This makes no sense. I was working full-time, and my contract does say I was to work full-time. I guess they just wanted to pay less taxes and since I was going to leave in a couple of months they thought no harm was going to be done.
Is there any way I can fix this so I don't have to pay all this money? Barmer said is not their duty to reclassify me. They see mini job, they ask for money
