[TOMT] Japanese horror scene involving a red X or tape

I’m 80% sure this isn’t from Pulse/Kairo but think it’s in a warehouse a Japanese man walks past a red X on a door and decides to open it… about all I remember I’ve seen Pulse/Kairo and the red tape scene and I’m pretty sure it’s not that. Saw the scene when I was very young so might be misremembering but any idea if it’s another movie I maybe thinking of?
