I don’t know if this happens the other way around too, but I’ve seen it happen to so many girls around me it’s exhausting.

At first, they talk nicely, get to know you, share things about themselves, and show genuine interest.

Then things escalate a bit. They start flirting, replying faster, even when you’re busy and only responding once or twice a day.

They shower you with attention and compliments, making you feel special. You can’t help but get attached and boom! That’s when it all goes downhill.

Once you start reciprocating and showing interest, they back off. It’s either a complete cutoff—they block you, delete their accounts, or ghost you entirely—or a slow, gradual fade. Their replies become less frequent and more dry; they’re active but still don’t respond to your messages.

While the first one hurts, the second one makes you feel worse. You start to feel like a loser. you're putting in extra effort just to keep the conversation going, and it feels like talking to a wall. It’s as if all their attraction toward you vanished in a second, like it was never real or worth thinking about.

I’m a very obsessive person. I get attached too easily, and when I do, I tend to fixate on the person a lot, very openly. It makes me feel terrible when I’m obsessing but have to hide it because the other person is barely showing any interest.

Ugh, I hate this. Why can’t we just admit we like each other and be openly expressive without feeling ashamed???!!!!
