What is the use of buying home used goods?

I have a TV that got broken during a move, its LG and 55 inches 3d but I honestly don't know who would be interested in buying h it and fixing it in Ghana. I feel like if I was a tech bro or something I would buy it and use it as a monitor or something idk but yeah(I don't know much about gadgets)
