So like 6 weeks ago I posted about my ongoing neck disaster from sitting at a desk all day doing graphic design work. Got a bunch of suggestions from you guys (thanks btw) and I wanted to give an update since a few people DMed me asking how things went.

Quick recap: been dealing with constant neck tension, morning headaches, that fun shoulder blade knot that feels like a golf ball stuck under my skin. Tried a million things - physical therapy, different chairs, standing desk, yoga (gave up after 2 weeks lol), nothing really stuck.

Ended up trying that Derila Ergo thing I mentioned. Honestly was super skeptical because I've bought so many "ergonomic" products that did absolutely nothing.

Week 1-2: Legit almost gave up. The shape is weird - has these arm cutout things and it's way smaller than my old pillow. Felt like I was sleeping wrong? Hard to explain. My girlfriend made fun of me because I kept repositioning it like every 20 minutes.

Week 3-4: Started noticing I wasn't waking up at 3am with neck pain. Usually I wake up, can't get comfortable, scroll Reddit for an hour, then feel like garbage in the morning. That stopped happening as much.

Now (week 6ish): My neck still gets tight during the day - I mean, I still sit like Gollum hunched over my monitor for 10 hours - but mornings are SO much better. Like I can actually look over my shoulder when backing out of parking spots without that shooting pain. Small victories lol.

The cooling thing is legit too. I'm one of those people who flips the pillow for the cold side 47 times a night, and this one just... doesn't get hot? Idk what's in it but it works.

Anyway, not trying to sell anyone on anything, just wanted to update since people asked. Still doing stretches and trying to fix my terrible desk setup, but at least I'm not waking up feeling like I got hit by a truck anymore.

Anyone else have success with ergonomic stuff? I'm looking into one of those vertical mouse things next because my wrist is starting to act up too. Getting old at 32 is wild.
