16M, so I’ve recently been trying to figure my life out because last month, my girlfriend of 6 months broke up with me. The very first thing to come out of her mouth when she broke the news was, “It’s not something you did, but it’s what you haven’t been doing.” and she talked about how I‘ve always been complaining about feeling behind, (no job, college classes, driver’s ed, etc) and yet I’ve been doing nothing about it.
Since then, I’ve applied for a job basically everywhere I could in my area, and unfortunately nothing. I’m homeschooled, and my parents refuse to complete my high school transcripts, so I can’t even take college classes, and I’m too lost to even try completing it myself. As for the driver’s ed, I started to actually try and get that over with, and I’m 66% done. At this point, I just feel stuck; The mom of my ex offered to give me guidance as she helped her daughter with getting all these things done, but for hopefully obvious reasons, I haven’t reached out to her for help. So my first question is how do I go about making a high school transcript and how do I go about finding a job at my age?
Now here’s the biggest problem: I have little to no self-control or discipline. So to build some, I tried to make a schedule for myself to follow, and it worked for a little bit, but I’ve fallen back into the same loop of before of doing basically whatever I want. It’s gotten to the point where sometimes I can’t even bring myself to get up to brush my teeth before going to bed, or getting up to turn my alarm off, or going to the kitchen to eat something. So my next question is how do I build discipline and self-control after living my entire life without it?
I’m so disappointed in myself for allowing myself to become the way that I am, and I sure as hell know that I need to do something about it, so any help of any kind would be greatly appreciated
