We successfully conducted the fourth edition of our Kannada Writers Meetup at Cubbon Park with 12 participants - full josh, zero chill.

The meetup started with an unexpected "intervention." Our usual spot had sprinklers on, and the ground was completely wet basically Cubbon park saying "plot twist!". So we did what every good writer does - improvise, and shifted to a nearby mantapa. Honestly, upgrade aytu... shade inda with good seating also.

We then jumped into the writing exercises. There were three exercises and you could literally see people staring into space like "Naanu yaaru? Naanu yen maadthiddini?"

The first exercise made some people realise "Namma life alli content kadime illa, swalpa clarity kadime ashte" Second exercise took some people to nostalgia while gave trauma to others. The third exercise made some people question why and how their thoughts work.

Post that, we had a discussion where people shared how it felt. Some found it uncomfortable, some found it eye-opening. People talked about what worked, what was difficult, and what surprised them.

From there, the conversation naturally evolved into literature talk. We discussed legends like K. P. Poornachandra Tejaswi and S. L. Bhyrappa, Tarasu, Anakru. We also touched upon newer voices like Karnam Pavan Prasad and Harish Haguravalli. We even got into an interesting discussion on Ravi Belagere, his writing style, and how it strongly works for some readers while not quite landing for others.

As expected, the discussion didn't stop there - writing andre cinema barade iralla! We went into movie storytelling, screenplays, and ended up recommending films like The Substance and Searching.

Overall, it was a fun, slightly chaotic, but deeply engaging meetup exactly how a creative space should be.

Thanks to those who participated. Since we are also building this gradually, your feedback is appreciated.
