Worried enough to ask: constipation for 2 weeks, no urge to go, ovarian cysts
38F. I honestly don't remember the last time I pooped. Likely 2 weeks ago maybe? I am not uncomfortable or in pain. I'm not nauseous. I have not had an urge to go and couldn't...
Last month+ has been weird though.
- Traveling currently (for the past 3 days)
- Quarantined last week while had covid (have tested negative multiple times since and before my current travel)
- Traveled the week prior to covid diagnosis
- Had an ultrasound and bloodwork 2 weeks ago because for the month prior had spotty intermittent (but daily) vaginal bleeding. Culminated in a 10 day real period, have not bled since in past 3 weeks.
- Ultrasound showed an ovarian cyst. I have a history of surgery for cysts, which blocked my bowels, 10 years ago. During that surgery, they discovered stage IV endometriosis, including on my bowel. They confirmed that they removed as much as they could but I likely have more. Plus that surgery was 10 years ago, so I assume at least some grew back.
- Bloodwork showed low auto WBC, hemoglobin, and hematocrite. But nothing dangerously low.
- Gyn follow up scheduled for late April, so I assumed no crazy concerns.
- Diet is usually relatively healthy. I've eaten fruits, veggies, salads, etc... But also have been traveling and sick so it's not the best it's ever been.
I've generally been very active over the past 3 days. I've upped my water intake as of yesterday. I'll be adding miralax today and for the foreseeable future until I don't really need it. I'll actively working on upping water intake more. I'll eat more fruits and veggies and leafy stuff tomorrow. I'll check in with my PCP and gyn on Monday.
But my head is spiraling with anxiety now and I can't sleep. I'm basically wondering if I'm headed toward an emergency while traveling (don't get home until Tuesday) because of the history with cysts. Should I go to an urgent care or ER tomorrow before even trying the miralax?
