Best workflow for ultra-realistic lifestyle video of a physical product using fal.ai? (not CGI look
Hey everyone,
I sell physical products on Amazon (travel accessories & home goods) and I'm trying to level up my listing and social content with lifestyle videos — the kind that look like they were shot on location by a professional crew, not rendered in 3D.
I've been experimenting with fal.ai and the results are promising, but I keep hitting a wall when it comes to making it look genuinely real rather than "AI video" obvious.
What I'm working with:
- Real product photos (studio white background + some lifestyle stills)
- Specific use-case scenes I want to show (e.g. someone using a neck wallet at an airport, salad bowls on a kitchen counter)
My questions for the community:
- What's the best model/pipeline on fal.ai for this use case right now? (Kling, Wan, MiniMax, other?)
- Image-to-video vs text-to-video — should I be starting from a strong lifestyle image (generated or real) and animating it, or going straight to video generation?
- How do you handle product consistency? The biggest issue I face is the product morphing or losing detail mid-video. Any prompting or workflow tricks that help?
- Any tips on prompting for photorealism? Lighting, camera movement, shot style — what prompt structure gives you the most "this was actually filmed" result?
- Recommended pre/post workflow? E.g. Flux for the base image → Kling for animation → Topaz for upscale?
Would love to see examples if anyone's done this for e-commerce or product marketing. Bonus points if you've figured out how to keep the product logo/text readable in the final video 🙏
Thanks in advance!
