MECH OR CSE?

I would really like engineering cars and bikes or planes for that matter , but i heard people say CSE lelo , scope jyada hai. The problem is i haven't worked on my CS skills at all. I know very basic coding but i don't even know what is git and stuff. I cant write most code even though i have studied basic python and C++, Havent touched Java since the beginning. I know linux distros and basic operations . I dont think i will score that well in exams and i cant spend money on hefty donations. So tier 3 college mai kya lu fir , Mech or CSE? Because people say i'll be stuck in a bad college with no jobs and placements in mech and i have little to zero knowledge in cs so ill be stuck coping up with more advanced people. PLS Help
