Being high

For the people who use enough to get intoxicated, do you ever feel self conscious that you're high with other people? I know that the high is the medicine, in what the high gives/does for people, but do you ever feel self conscious about the fact that you're aware that you're high with other people who are not high?

Because of the social acceptability, this is less so with alcohol, but the same or similar, way that a drunk person is aware that they might talk to people that are sober.
