Accidentally brought up someone’s deadname
Me and two friends (my best friend and one of their friends that I’ve started hanging out with more) were chilling at home together the morning after a night out. I started transferring the newer friend for an uber we took and saw that the first initial in the payid was different than theirs so I said aloud “hey is this correct, it says [insert initial]” because I thought it might’ve been a typo (no idea why). My back was turned to everyone so I couldn’t see what was going on but there was a brief pause and they said yeah that’s fine. I was super hungover so I didn’t put two and two together at the time. A few hours later I started thinking about it more and got a super bad feeling I may have accidentally brought up their deadname/initial and made them uncomfortable even though I had no idea they had one 🥲🥲 messaged my best friend asking if that was the case and they said yes. I feel like a horrible human being and don’t know if I should send a message apologising etc? I don’t really know what to do. I’m worried I ruined a friendship
