Shipped a production Flutter web + mobile app — Outlai, AI expense tracker. AMA on the build

Hey r/Flutter — we just launched Outlai, built on Flutter for both web and mobile.

What it does: AI expense tracker where you type expenses in natural language and AI categorizes them.

Stack: Flutter (CanvasKit on web), Go/Fiber backend, PostgreSQL, Claude Haiku for categorization

Flutter wins:

• Single codebase across web + iOS + Android
• CanvasKit charts performance has been excellent
• Form handling for the AI Smart Add input was surprisingly clean

Flutter pain points we hit:

• CanvasKit bundle size on first load
• Accessibility/semantics for SEO took extra work
