Aio- I am new to being a stay at home partner with my boyfriend
Ive (25f) been living with my boyfriend (34m) for a little over a year. I do all of the cooking, cleaning, and managing the bills. My bf says that he doesn’t want me working, that he would feel that he failed as a partner if I work. I’m okay with that, I like not having to work anymore and take care of our home. I worked for years before meeting him. Truthfully, being the stay at home partner is like a job. It’s still tiring and work. You don’t have to socialize with people though which is what I like. I have my own debit card that he has $100 every paycheck (every 2 weeks) deposited into my account. I also buy all of the home supplies with that $100. Our shampoos, soaps, cleaning supplies, deodorant, laundry detergent, and pets food. It leaves me with hardly anything after getting the different things we need at home. I spent 5 months saving a little bit here and there when I could and managed to save $400 for something that I wanted. I ended up changing my mind and finding a cheaper version for $120 so I got that instead. I had $300something left in my account and he ran out of money and transferred all my money over to his account. It was for things that he needed, gas for work, his tobacco, etc whatever else he got from the stores drinks or I’m not sure. He also didn’t have enough for our groceries so he used it for that. It’s just… I spent so long to have that. Is this just how it is? If so then I will accept it. I’m just not sure. Am I meant to not be able to have much? I don’t need or want a lot, but sometimes I want to buy a new book or like right now I need a new electric razor because mine broke, etc. Please tell me if I’m overreacting and that this is just how it is. Also I apologize for this being messy I wasn’t sure where to start or how to say things
