i miss having online friends all around the world

i used to have international friends that i met online and it changed my life. i got to see england thanks to Remi, i learned how to make my caramel macchiato at home thanks to Matt, i got interested in astrology and now i know a lot about it thanks to Viktor cuz his ex was unpredictable af, i started gaming thanks to Zac and even learned how to read the korean alphabet. when i was visiting belgium, i thought about Emily because she used to love belgian waffles. i know life got busy, i know we are adults now, i am 26, i miss them a lot. they all have their little adult lives now and im so proud of them. even tho people are online more now, i find it so hard to have that connection again with people. like please show me what you got for breakfast, omg yes lets gossip about people ill never see irl. omg yes ofc your city is on my weather app so wear tight today. i miss having genuine friendships, not just online but where back than we could trust each other and actually plan visiting each other. like yes pleaseee come and say hi to all 7 cats of mine. i guess i miss when the world felt small.
