Serious question for everyone

When I purchased my house, I chose a HOA neighborhood to insulate me from hillbilly neighbors. Additionally, I read the HOA rules and signed that I agreed to them. Is the majority of this sub people who didn’t know what they were signing up for or are you guys complaining about HOAs enforcing laws that don’t exist?
