Ajeeb dastaan hai yeh

Pata hai aaj kya hua? I was watching Guillermo del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth today and I thought I heard Ajeeb Daastan hai yeh. So I looked for the track and it turns out the melody from Ajeeb dastaan is copied from a Spanish composition in 1915 called En los jardines de granada.

I was fully aware of our recent composers taking "inspiration" from less known foreign language music but I was shocked that even our big boys like Shankar-Jaikishan were doing this back in the day!
