What pillow setup actually works for stomach sleepers without neck pain?
At some point, most people just accept neck pain as “part of” sleeping on your stomach, but I’m not convinced it has to be that way. The more I look into it, the more it seems like pillow height is the one thing that makes or breaks it.
But the advice online is all over the place—some people say ditch the pillow completely, others say you still need a bit of support, and a few claim certain low-loft pillows somehow fix everything. So it’s hard to tell what actually works in real life.
What pillow height has actually worked for you long-term? Is going completely flat the only way, or does a thin pillow still help? And does it matter if you move onto your side during the night?
Also wondering if people notice a difference between memory foam vs softer pillows, or if loft is really the only thing that matters.
Would be interesting to hear what setups people here ended up sticking with.
