Help a newbie out!

Hi all! I’m a frontend developer coming back from a few maternity leaves and my role has essentially been completely changed, so I’m going to need to look for a new job soon. To cut a long story short, trying to get a new job after maternity leave is always VERY difficult as recruiters/HR take one look at my CV and bin it. Harsh but it’s true, sadly.

I do however have a few friends in different industries who have said their companies are always looking for people specialised in PowerBI, and if I can get myself trained up, they could help me get back into work.

So my questions are, how long could it take me to be somewhat competent in PowerBI? I can see Microsoft have their training but any other suggestions? Is there anything I should avoid, common pitfalls?

I essentially need the fast track option to avoid my career coming to a grinding halt, losing my children’s places at nursery, then being a SAHM for god knows how long, then having an impossible time trying to get back into work. I’m spiralling a little at the thought.
