My girlfriend wants to hang out with her male friend/friends but she secretly doesn't like the idea of me having female friends M19 F20
Hi, my girlfriend and I have been dating for about three months. We study the same major at the same university. So far, things are going great. We have an open phone policy, so when a guy friend texts her or something, she literally just asks me what she should reply or if it's suitable, etc. I do the same when a female friend of mine texts me or something, so things are pretty chill.
Up until yesterday, I knew that before we were dating, she had some guy friends-maybe not just some, but rather a lot-and they knew each other from church and such since they were little. Now, look, I know I might sound insecure and all, but as a guy, I really know how some of those guys truly think about her. When I tell her that, she does what I say and just tells them she's busy or something.. I like that she respects my wishes and I do too and think I have no problem with her going out with guy friends as long as she knows them pretty well. but the problem is I know that deep down this girl hates the idea of me having female friends and she usually says i cant make you leave your friends but is very very happy when I ghost them or reply days later and no I don't even hang out on weekends with those female friends it is literally just that we text every few weeks for about 5m and that all. But I really know that if someday I asked her if I could go out for dinner or for coffee with a female friend, she would agree because I don't have a problem with her doing that, so why should she? But deep down, she wouldn't like it at all. So, in the end, all I want to say is that I trust her completely with those guys, and I don't really think that I am hanging out with any of my female friends anytime soon. But the idea of her hating that while it's okay for her to
hang out with other guys is what's driving me crazy.
