Sky Gigafast – stick with Sky Hub or upgrade router?

Hi all,

Just renegotiated my Sky deal and looking at Gigafast (Full Fibre 900).

Sky said I’ll keep the Hub 4.2, but I’ve seen people here get better results with third-party setups.

Current issue is weak/unstable Wi-Fi at the back of the house — I’ll try better placement, but keen to hear what actually worked for others.

A friend recommended Powerline adapters + a Ubiquiti U7 Access Point, which worked well for him. He also said when he switched to Vodafone, the router was strong enough that he didn’t need as many access points.

What I want to know:

•	Did you stick with the Sky router or upgrade?

•	Mesh, access points, Powerline — what actually made the biggest difference?

•	Any product recommendations worth it?
