Phone screen turns on during calls when a notification arrives

Hey everyone,

I recently switched from Android to iPhone and noticed something a bit unusual.

Whenever my phone is locked and I’m on a call, the screen turns on every time a notification comes in.

Is this normal iOS behavior or is there some setting I should change?

Would appreciate if other iPhone users can confirm 🙏
