Respecting my therapist’s working hours - a question for therapists or clients

Question

Hi therapists of reddit. I want your advice on how to be a good and respectful client. My therapist said I can email him if I feel like I’m about to hurt myself or something along the lines. I emailed him last night, late at night, and he replied an hour later. However, I wrote the subject line as “For Next Week / Meeting” to be mindful of his working hours.

I feel extra bad because it’s a weekend. In total this was my third time emailing him. I have a somewhat addictive and obsessive personality so I try not to email him or else I feel like I’ll end up flooding him with emails one day cus I’ve gotten too comfortable. Any tips for navigating this? I’m scared he’s only replying ‘cus he’s scared I might hurt myself and he feels like he has no choice.
