My hairdresser of 4 years ruined my hair :(

This is going to be long so please bear with me.

I have been going to the same hairdresser for 4 years, she previously took my hair from an accidentally dark brown done by a different stylist to a golden brown balayage. I was so happy with her work I kept seeing her for maintenance appointments.

About a year ago I decided I wanted to try a deep reddish brown. It turned out a lot more red than what I had asked for, but I actually liked it so I kept getting it touched up. Recently I got tired of the red and asked if we could go back to how my hair was previously. At any point did she raise any concerns; she said yes and that it’d look amazing.

She used a product to remove the red from my hair which turned it into a dark brown with a lot of red still in it and said in the next appointment we’d fix it and do highlights. I went back a week later and walked out with still red hair but now with yellow highlights :’). I told her it was nothing like what I had asked for and she offered to fix it for free. I went back and she somehow dyed my hair a deep, cool brown, almost black, some of the highlights completely disappeared and some she BLEACHED AGAIN, which resulted in the front pieces (previously a money piece) being completely fried and broken off.

I walked out of the salon in shock and literally cried for 3 days because not only did she break my trust, but she also ruined my hair which I took so much pride in. Luckily the parts that weren’t bleached are healthy , but I feel so uncomfortable with my hair atm and I want to fix it but I’m so scared of making it worse.

Do I go back to her at all to fix it? Do I stop seeing her and ask for a refund? I had a consultation with a different stylist who did strand tests on my hair and told me she can lift me to a lighter brown and later on when my hair has recovered give me the balayage I wanted, do I go to her instead? Sorry for the long post I’m just so upset 😭
