Nightmares?
So, I had my surgery on March 25. Dr. Terminator yeeted the uterus, cervix, and tubes. I stopped taking pain meds on the 29th. Despite being opiate-free... The nightmares. OMG, the nightmares. I'm not talking about the nightmares i usually read about on here about things like pregnancy, cuff tears, prolapse, a second hysterectomy, etc. I'm talking about normal nightmares, but cranked up to 11. We've got alien abductions. We've got plane crashes. We've got running from monsters in the woods. We've got spiders. We've even got me waking up because I heard my dad calling my name, despite him being in the hospital. (Don't worry; I checked on him. This wasn't a situation for r/paranormal.) We've got it all, folks; and more vivid and memorable than ever!
This has been every night since the hysterectomy. I thought at first that it was from the Percocet, but it's been a week since I've taken any. I'm still having these nightmares every. Single. Night. I'm honestly afraid of sleeping right now. Is this BS normal? If so, any idea when I can sleep in peace? Does anyone have any ideas for making it stop? I really don't want to dream that I'm naked in front of my high school or something any time soon.
