Why does a gift card feel more "personal" than a direct crypto transfer?
There’s a weird psychological gap when it comes to gifting crypto. If I send someone 0.001 BTC, it feels like I’m sending them a stock or a math problem. But if I send them a Steam or Amazon card bought with that same BTC, it feels like a thoughtful gift.
By exchanging the crypto for something they can use right away, it completely bypasses the awkwardness of forcing them to understand or set up a digital wallet
Do you think crypto will ever be a "normal" gift on its own, or will gift cards always be the necessary bridge for the average person?
