I don't know what to do (eye candy ver)

Hello, I have a eye candy hehe. It just started this year where I found him kinda cute and interesting because he has a unique hobby 🤭 We both follow each other on Instagram but I'm not even sure if he knows me. My friends recommended that I just reply to his stories, which I did once asking about his hobby in his story. I stupidly ended the conversation with "oh that's cool" which I sort of regret but at the same time, if I kept yapping, won't he find me annoying or weird since we literally do not know each other? I heard from a friend that he used to like someone for a long time but I don't know if he still likes her or not.

Also, I'm taking a national exam this year so I wouldn't really want to risk my chances to go to my dream school and course... But I would definitely like to start somewhere... you know as friends? But there's no way I can keep replying to each and every one of his stories and keep striking up the conversation. Personally, I don't really want to be the one chasing that much... So I need advice thanks 💔💔
