How are you guys beating the heat this summer?

It feels extremely hot and humid this year and I am sweating round the clock. We do have ac in one of the rooms, but can't keep running it all day.

Any household tricks to deal with this heat? I live in the town and the house is also by the side of a main road, adding to the heat!
