Ammo not Penning

Not saying this is the case and someone should probably test this and post the results but people complaining that there ammo isn’t penning armor it says it should and are only getting bruises maybe those rounds are hitting at off angles to the plates and ricocheting and that’s why. Especially with how the AI reacts to getting shot and bends over/turns there body also I feel like sometimes my rounds are penning through the gun cause I’m seeing sparks fly up sometimes while shooting the AI and that would reduce the velocity of the bullet causing it not to pen the armor as well
