All-Mountain Ski/Boot recs

Grew up in the upper Midwest skiing MI regularly and doing a trip or two annually skiing the Rockies with family, but am now coming back to skiing after 8ish years based in the DC area. Just got back from skiing Brighton at the end of season and am ready to update my late 2000s/2010s vintage equipment for next year.

I’d say I’m upper intermediate / lower advanced skill level. Comfortable pretty much anywhere in resort but generally am happy to take challenging terrain at my own pace and don’t have any illusions about doing crazy speed.

I’m 5’ 10” about 185lbs (planning on shedding some of that by next year). I’ve been riding on old K2 Apaches (72 waist) and Rossignol alltrack 100 boots.

Hoping to find a good all-around setup that can work for the NE resorts but also for annual trips out west. Understand that going to new tech from my old gear will be an adjustment but am hoping to find something that won’t have a massive learning curve since I’ll only have 4 or 5 weekends a year to get out there.

Thanks for any helpful input the community can offer!
