I recently stayed one night at the LivSmart by Hilton in Tullahoma, TN, which is actually the first hotel of this brand, opened in 2025. And right now, there are only two of these worldwide.

Thought I'd share a quick review here since most people probably haven't heard of LivSmart yet.

First impression:
Very modern, new, and you can tell Hilton is trying something different. Even the staff mentioned multiple times that this is a brand-new concept, and they seemed genuinely proud to be part of it, which was pretty cool and made the stay feel kinda special.

**What makes LivSmart different?**

This is clearly designed as a long-stay or extended stay brand, but with a stronger focus on independence than Hilton's other brands in this category like Homewood Suites or Home2.

Some standout features:

* No traditional breakfast, instead, a "grab-and-go" setup where you pack a small breakfast bag (yogurt, fruit, muffins, eggs, etc.)
* 24/7 coffee & tea station
* Large, well-designed laundry room (not just a random closet with machines like most hotel do)
* Package lockers + water refill station
* Weekly housekeeping (once in seven days) + self-service for towels, cleaning supplies, etc.

This actually felt more like a temporary living property than like a hotel.

**The room itself**

The room felt familiar but also quite different.

* Full kitchen right at the entrance like Home2 (microwave, stovetop, dishwasher, fridge, etc.)
* Bathroom is around the corner (not directly opposite the kitchen like in most hotels)
* Smart use of space (for example, storage under the bed for laundry baskets)
* No carpet, instead smooth flooring, which I personally prefer
* Aaaaand: coat hooks near the entrance (why do so many hotels not have these?)

Overall, it reminded me of Home2/Homewood in terms of features, but with a more thought-out layout. Actually feels a bit like this is what Home2 was supposed to be.

**Gym (interesting design choice)**

The gym is literally in the lobby, with big glass windows facing the entrance/front desk.

Not sure if that’s meant as motivation haha but it definitely makes it more visible.
Equipment-wise it’s solid, but I do think it could use a bit more (like a cable machine or pull-up bar) especially for long stays. For a short stay, free weights and a few cardio machines are good, but if I imagine staying there for weeks or months, I'd definitely want a few more workout options.

**Summary**

What I liked:

* Very modern and clean (everything, of course, feels brand new)
* Thoughtful design for longer stays
* Strong focus on flexibility and independence
* Some genuinely smart small details
* Excitement of the staff
* laundry room (I almost felt like I missed out since I didn't have any laundry to wash)

What might not be for everyone:

* No real breakfast (grab-and-go only)
* Limited gym equipment
* Less "hotel service" feeling due to self-service concept, probably closer to an airbnb

**Overall thoughts**

I actually liked the concept a lot. It feels like Hilton is experimenting with a more practical, long-term living approach, especially for people staying multiple weeks (work, relocations, etc.).

The breakfast setup felt a bit unusual at first, but honestly, if you're staying longer, you'll probably use the in-room kitchen anyway.

**Video Review**

I have also created a more in-depth video review: [https://youtu.be/PtGxyf0nvuY](https://youtu.be/PtGxyf0nvuY)

Has anyone stayed at this or the other LivSmart in Indiana yet?

What do you think about this concept?
