I went Maverick shopping and bought a Lightening

The depreciation on these has genuinely worked in their favour.

The Maverick (in Canada) gets into the low to mid-40 thousands. At that price, the cheap-and-cheerful quality of the thing would likely really grate on me. I picked up a ‘24 XLT Lightening instead.

42 grand, 50 otd. A couple years ago, I would go to the lot and eye these up. They were easily twice that OTD, which is remarkable.
