New open relationship help please

Hi. Me (31) and my bf (34) decided to open up our relationship for a while due to health issues (nothing bad).

I’ve hooked up in the past without protection, due to the fear of anaphylaxis from me being allergic to latex. I’ve never been on prep or doxypep, and to be honest, even as a nurse myself, I have no idea how to feel safe while only using a pill. I also don’t know where to get it or how.

I am also a very homey gay, I don’t go out much. I’ve never been to a club or anything, and I feel like I’d be too scared to go alone. I’m gonna ask my bff (a girl) if she could go to a club or gay club with me to try to… look for guys? I don’t even know.

I’m scared but excited to do this. Can someone lead me in the right direction? I would love if I could get prep online or go to a doctor quickly to get it. My new job’s insurance should be kicking in this week if not already. I’m not hooking up against without protection.
