Gigabyte MO27Q28G built-in speakers stopped appearing in Windows Sound settings via DisplayPort

After a few days/weeks of normal use the monitor's speakers completely disappeared from the windows sound devices menu. I used the stock DisplayPort cable that came in the box.

Has anyone else run into this similer issue?
