What should I do?
I’m hoping this is the right sub to ask this, it feels like it. My 2.5 year old got a small fever over night 100.4 it’s now down to 100 sometimes going to 99.5 she is acting pretty good, eating and drinking, playing, generally doing really good. Besides a very small cough and looking off to me she’s doing really good. She’s getting top and bottom molars (unsure if this is correlated it’s just something happening at the same time).
Anyways, here’s my issue my best friend is being induced TONIGHT and she’s wanting me there with her and her husband to support her. We’re extremely close, more like sisters, pretty trauma bonded over the loss of our moms that happened pretty close together (me 8 weeks post partum, her 8 weeks pregnant. I could go on for days about our cosmic connection it’s insane) I only mention all of this because of the seriousness of me being there. My aunt is suppose to watch my daughter tomorrow while my husband works, this was always the plan. But if her fever doesn’t break today I really don’t know what to do. We don’t even know where this came from i purposely didn’t go anywhere this week, no grocery stores, no parks, stayed home and played outside in our back yard because I didn’t want to risk getting sick before the induction. Her getting the fever the night before is like the more cruel joke EVER.
My mom heart wants to obviously stay home and be with her & also this is the birth of a newborn I would never want to risk bringing anything to the baby whatever it is my daughter has, but my other heart is sad I’m letting my best friend down. What would you do in my situation? I feel like I’m just going to stay home but I wanted to hear others opinions. Thanks for listening it means a lot to me
TLDR: best friend wants me at the birth of her baby tonight, my daughter has a small fever. Should I stay or go?
