horror movies with substance and not just shock value

Don't get me wrong, I love gory and over the top films, but they have started to piss me off these days. I have been wanting to watch something with actual substance, something like:

midsommar

the wicker man

incantation

the autopsy of jane doe

you get the gist, right? films with story and substance
