Car Anxiety

My 3 year old Aussie has terrible car anxiety. He whines incessantly. Unfortunately it hasn’t improved with age or exposure. He is miserable and so are we. Has anyone had success with an enclosure crate? The Impact crate seems like a good option although it’s very expensive. Any suggestions welcome.
