What do international students in KL wish they knew before starting an English course?

I've been speaking to a lot of students who came to Kuala Lumpur specifically to improve their English — from the Middle East, Korea, China, Japan.

And almost all of them said the same thing after a few weeks: "I wish someone had told me this before I started."

Curious what that looks like from different perspectives.

If you've studied English in KL — or anywhere in Malaysia — what's the one thing you wish you knew before you enrolled?

Could be about the course, the city, the lifestyle, finding accommodation, making friends, anything.

Genuinely asking because I want to understand what actually matters to students — not what schools assume matters.
