I always will hate the notion that just cause a character is "talented" or "a prodigy" that suddenly means they didn't work hard to get where they are.
Whenever people say that, it always feels like a weird sense of Jealousy for prodigious people as well cause they seem to think that just a character had somewhat more of a head start due to genetics or riches or whatever, that that suddenly means they still didn't work hard for where they got or any hard work they did make is invalid.
Like..No cause it would be one thing if they only relied on their talent and the fact that they're a prodigy to get to where they are but if they still were willing to put in the work to get to where they're at, then what's the problem?
It's even weirder cause I can't help my Genetics or who my folks are, that's not something I can control.
They still worked hard to get to where they are and I feel like downplaying the effort they made to get to where they're at is kinda insulting since you're implying their hard work didn't matter and Tbh..I blame Rock Lee cause he more or less has ruined discussions on that for so many years due to people gaslighting themselves into thinking that the Theme of Naruto was Hard work beating Natural Talent.
Naruto may have had Kuruma(let's be real,Kuruma was a deadass curse more then a blessing)and high Chakra levels but he still worked hard to master his techniques and get stronger, it's not like he just relied on talent or his raw power.
Ichigo may have had a lot of genetics but at the same time, he still worked hard for days to unlock Bankai and had to go on a entire self discovery journey to get to where he's at now, he basically had to heal himself.
Like Talent and being a prodigy means basically nothing if you aren't willing to put in the hard work and effort to get better.
