Do I have to buy trimming scissors online to get quality or can I just choose a pair at Sally’s? Badly in need of a trim

I want to trim my hair now rather than waiting but it already has some damage with split ends and I don’t want to cause further damage by getting scissors that may be too dull. I was surprised Target doesn’t carry any really. Is there anything I can get now/locally to cut my hair without causing further damage? Thoughts on using hair cutting shears from Sally’s?
