Where best to look for babysitters?

Hi all,

For those of you who don't have relatives to look to for a bit of babysitting, going for dinner in the evening etc, where did you look that worked? Local community? Online? Did you put up an advert?

Just a bit stuck and looking for advice for our 16 month old.
