Hi. I’m Nikki. My dad passed from cancer March 2025 from lung cancer and I at 25 had to take over the property. He has a little farm, passed down from my grandpa, with the old horse, goats, pigs and livestock dogs. We’ve slowly had to get down on some things but theres still plenty of animals to take care of. My dad loved his stuff but he did not like to take care of his stuff so the only good building was our big barn for the animals. I’ve been struggling because my fiancé and I are having to pay for 2 households at the moment, which has been tough but we were making it work until now. We scrape by on bare bones. Saving what we can to buy an rv so we can get out of paying rent and out to the farm to really be able to save up to build a house. We were thinking about turning the barn into a house until March 2026. I got a call from my neighbor that the barn was on fire. By time the fire department and I were able to reach it, everything was gone. Not even wood was left. We were able to find 1 dog and the horse but I was still looking for the other dog. We finally found her in some tin and she had to be rushed to the emergency vet due to smoke inhalation. Amazingly she wasn’t very burned due to the tin falling around her in a perfect little box. Everyone is ok now but we lost basically anything that we needed and all of my dad and grandpas things that were special to me. On top of that my well house decided to stop working so we’re trying to figure out water again. I know it’s tough times right now but any donations would help. Thank you 🙏
