Renaming files....
So I have finally begun to acutally edit and organize all of my wildlife photos (instead of keeping them on SD-cards only), and recently downloaded lightroom and bought a SSD harddrive.
I then ran into the problem of "finder" (I use mac) not organizing my photos by date taken. How do you guys go around this problem? I have both tried the "A better finder Attributes" which worked allright, but not perfectly. IS there another way? It seems so stupid that it isn't an option to sort by date taken??
I also tried in lightroom to rename my photos so that "finder" would sort it correctly. Because in lightroom my pictures are sorted after date taken, which is perfect. I tried to rename it by sequence, so that my photos in chronological order would be #001, #002 and so on. But since I do bird photography, and want to rename my photos by, lets say birdname, date and location, the sequence changes each time I edit a file name.
So I guess my questions are:
-
How do you go around the problem in finder not sorting by date taken?
-
Is there a way in lightroom to make the sequence just continue from #001, #002 and so on without it going #001, #002, #001, #001, #002, #003?
I hope my question makes since.
