How do I find a competent LG washing machine repair person?

LG front loader leaks a little water out to lower front left. Hose and filter are secure.
It doesn't leak every time but I know it shouldn't ever leak.
I'm handy with repairs but have zero experience with washing machines and would like to find someone trustworthy to repair.
LG has a flat rate of ~$360 for repair. Machine is 5-6 years old and new one will end up being a Grand at the end of the day.
How do I find a decent repair person? I know it's hard to estimate, but in general is a service call from local repair company with pump or other parts going to be in $300 range? Washer has been fine and works properly otherwise.
